The Rip

The Rip
Ten brilliant stories from the pen of Brian Millard.
Here are themes ranging from fine art, politics, shearing, and boxing, to dancing the tango, set against backdrops from New Zealand, Poland, Argentina, England and America, in time frames from the early forties to the present. Each story imbued with compassion and humour, unique and complete in itself. They are a great read from a master storyteller.
Brian Millard is better known as a watercolourist but has had careers in advertising and as a script writer for television and radio, many of his radio dramas and a TV documentary have been produced. He has been a journalist and edited two magazines. The Rip is his third book to be published. Some of the stories have appeared in print already, this is their debut in this form.
