Auditing: Theory and Practice in New Zealand 7th Edition is a comprehensive audit textbook designed for tertiary study. This well-tested New Zealand text was first published in 1990 and now, still with its two primary authors, continues to provide an introduction to professional audit and assurance services.
This 2018 edition is inspired by the ongoing need for classroom material that reflects New Zealand’s professional and regulatory environment, and by the need to keep up with changes brought about by growth in ‘other’ assurance services and e-business. It comprises 22 chapters and includes extensive illustrations and examples together with an expanded range of review questions and student exercises. It incorporates recent changes in standards, regulations, law, oversight and professional practice.
The text retains its focus on concepts and ethics as well as practice techniques. The aim of the text is to help future audit professionals become technically-skilled, socially-aware and ethically-professional members of the business community.
The 7th edition is currently available only in PDF format. Enquiries on content should be addressed to your lecturer. Previous editions are available from Pearson Education (Australia).
